Pamela Bursey, age 66, of Quanah, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 in Quanah, Texas.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm at North Groesbeck Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Pam was born November 27, 1954 in Lawton, Oklahoma.  She was the daughter of the late John H. Brison and the late Marie Edmondson Brison.  She married Seth Bursey on March 6, 1977 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated from Midwestern State University in 1980 with a Associate's Degree as a Registered Nurse.  Pam moved to Quanah in 1983.  She was a former owner of Roberts Flower Shop in Quanah, the Director of Nursing at the Quanah Nursing Home, and a retired hospice nurse.  She was a member of North Groesbeck Church of Christ and loved teaching Sunday school class.  She was a co-recipient of Texas Department of Public Safety Director's award in 2002, which is the highest honor given to civilians. She was proud to serve on the QISD board of trustees for 20 years and earned master-trustee status at state level.

Pamela is survived by her husband Seth Bursey of the home. Her children Kylar Bursey of Quanah, Bubba Bursey and wife Brannica of Kamay, Texas, Brison Bursey and wife Shannon of Willow Park, Texas, Caleb Bursey and wife Renee of Seymour, Texas; one sister Jan Armstrong of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; a brother Gerald Brison of Augusta, Georgia; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 26th, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
