Patsy "Pat"
Ruth Allen
Mar 19, 1934 — Nov 27, 2025
Flower Mound
Patsy Ruth DeVoll Allen, known to many as Pat Allen, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on November 27, 2025, at the age of 91. Born March 19, 1934, in Quanah, Texas, Pat was the beloved daughter of Claude and Sally DeVoll and a longtime member of the Quanah community.
Pat dedicated over 40 years of service to the First National Bank of Quanah, where her kindness, reliability, and steady presence were appreciated by coworkers and customers alike. She retired in 2007, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and heartfelt connections.
A devoted mother to Kip Allen, Pat leaves a void in her family that cannot be filled. She was also a proud and deeply loving grandmother to Christie and Jason, who were truly the joy of her life. She often said they changed her life for the better, and they cherished the love she poured into every moment with them—especially the long summer visits that created cherished memories.
Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Allen; her parents, Claude and Sally DeVoll; and her six siblings: Claude (Elvis), Sonny (Al), Jesse, Ellis, Darlene, and Ray.
She is survived by her son Kip and wife Becky Allen; granddaughter Christie and husband Shane O'Neal, and great-grandsons Dylan Turner and Dax O'Neal; grandson Jason and wife Lynsey Allen, and great-granddaughter Paige Allen—all of whom will forever carry her love in their hearts.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 4th from 6–7 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Quanah Memorial Park. Your attendance is deeply appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Wilbarger Humane Society, 2801 Sullivan St., Vernon, Texas 76384.
