Phyllis Ann Sparkman, 85 of Quanah Texas passed away on Wednesday June 18, 2025.

Visitation will be held on Monday June 23, 2025, from 6-7pm at Smith Funeral Home Quanah Texas.

Phyllis was born on March 30, 1940, to the late Vilas "Cap" Tabor and the late Virginia Lois Foster. Phyllis married Charles (Charlie) on November 27, 1959, in Goodlett, Texas. He passed away April 25, 2021. Phyllis worked at the Rolling Plains Management Company. Phyllis was a very special and very active lady in the Quanah Community. She was also the first female to serve as a Mayor of Quanah. Phyllis was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Phyllis is survived by children Mike Sparkman and wife Margie, Will Sparkman, Suzann Sparkman-Akers and husband Johnny all of Quanah, Texas. Two brother Roger Tabor of Quanah Texas and Melvin Tabor of Salt Lake City, UT. Phyllis also leaves behind six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
