Randy Newsom passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019 in Wichita Falls. He was 70. A funeral service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Quanah.  Dr. David Smith will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m., Sunday, December 29 ^th at Smith Funeral Home.

Randy Keith Newsom was born in Quanah on February 22, 1949 to Paul James and Lillian Evelyn (Lantz) Newsom. He was a graduate of Quanah High School and attended West Texas State University (WTAMU) in Canyon, Texas.  He married Katherine Sue Wilson on May 16, 1987. Randy was the owner and operator of Newsom Auto Parts; a member of the Quanah Volunteer Fire Department ; and an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Newsom of the home; son, Shawn Newsom of Quanah; 4 grandchildren, Kaden Paul Newsom, Valari, Matthew, Sawyer, and Lawson; 2 great grandchildren, Carter Joe and Chandler Shane; 2 brothers, Gary Newsom and Craig Newsom of Quanah;

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one step son, Joe Risinger.
