Sarah Nary passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, in Quanah at the age of 81. A memorial service is planned for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 24th at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

Sarah Ruth Brandon was born October 14, 1942, in Quanah, Texas to William Brandon and Ruby Maness Brandon. She married Ed Nary in Midland, Texas on April 24, 1998, and they made their home in Quanah where she had been a lifelong resident.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Nary of Quanah; 3 sons, Kevin Young and Kari of Vernon, Rodney Young and Janet of Quanah, and Haden Braziel and Rebecca of Quanah; 6 grandchildren, Kenslea Young and Roger, Scott Young, Justin Young, Brandon Young and Destiny, Konner Braziel-Bailey and Jenson, and Bailey Braziel; 3 great grandchildren, Emery Young, Leighton Young, Joaquin Zambrano; 1 stepson, Jonathan Nary and Maggie; 3 stepdaughters, Ann Marie Griner and Terry, Michelle Dunlavey and Ty, Melinda Livie and Jason; 3 step grandchildren, Mary-ann Jacobs, Amy White and Christopher, and Chevy Griner; and one sister-in-law, Neita Brandon. Sarah was preceded in death by her three brothers, Roy, Bob, and Grady Brandon.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hardeman County Memorial Hospital or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
