Sharla Annette Bass died Friday morning, May 11, 2018, in Lawton. She was 53.

Sharla was born on April 2, 1965, in Quanah, to Robert "Pete" and Jerry (Daugherty) Francis. She was a graduate of Caprock High School in Amarillo, and later married Jimmy Bass, on August 11, 1984.  Sharla loved horses and was a barrel racer.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed Disney movies.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Bass, of the home; father, Robert "Pete" Francis, of Granite Shoals, Texas; sister Shonda Gayle (Eric) Hall, of Spring, Texas; brother, Bill Francis of Granite Shoals, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Her mother, Jerry Daugherty Francis, preceded her in death in 2014.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Quanah Memorial Park, with Dr. David Smith officiating.  Interment will follow under direction of Smith Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30, Thursday, May 17th, at Smith Funeral Home.
