Sharon Parsons passed away on Thursday morning, April 13, 2017, at her home in Amarillo.  She was 55.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., Smith Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park, under direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Sharon was born to Odie Woods, Jr. and Bernice Woods, on February 18, 1962, in Childress County, Texas.  However, she was raised by Nuggie (Merritt) Woods.  She was a resident of Quanah and Amarillo most of her life, and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son - William Jerome Woods of Amarillo; 2 grandchildren - William and Don'Dre; her mother - Nuggie Woods of Amarillo; 8 sisters - Victoria Woods of Vernon; Mary Williams of Pittsburgh, PA; Alice Riley of Amarillo; Sheryl Lemelle of Amarillo; Marsha Claudrick of Amarillo; Sylvia Woods of Amarillo; Olivia Woods of Amarillo; April Woods of Amarillo; 7 brothers - Johnnie Woods of Angolia; Donald Woods of Amarillo; George Collins of Amarillo; Elston Woods of Quanah; Charles Woods of Amarillo; Michael Woods of Quanah; Marvin Woods of Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  She is preceded by one brother - Otis Vanell Woods.
