Shirley Southerland, 74, of Quanah, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 27 ^th , 2020 in Wichita Falls.  A funeral service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Quanah.  Dr. David Smith will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday evening at Smith Funeral Home chapel.

Shirley Kay Southerland was born in Quanah on Wednesday, December 12, 1945, to J.A. and Reva Senter Southerland. She worked as a waitress at Ken's Restaurant for many years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Ashley Savage, son in law, Cole Savage, and granddaughter, Presley Savage, all of Quanah; and one sister, Marty Southerland, also of Quanah. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Southerland.

The family suggests that memorials be sent to Texoma Christian Care Center, 300 TX-11 Loop, Wichita Falls, Texas 76306.
