Shirley Jean Wade, passed away Sunday October 5th, 2025, quietly surrounded by family in BSA Hospital in Amarillo Texas. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11th at the First Methodist Church in Quanah, with visitation starting at 10:30.

Shirley Jean (McClery) Wade was born September 16, 1941, to Ray and Emma Sue McClery.  She was married to Johnnie Franklin Wade, Sr. on December 20, 1958.  She was preceded in death by her husband on April 30, 2023.  Together they raised three children, and she was a member of the First Methodist Church of Quanah. Shirley was retired from the Security National Bank of Quanah.

Survivors include children, Johnnie Wade, Jr. of Quanah, Kevin Wade and wife Ann of Amarillo, Tracy Betts and husband Gaylon of Quanah; grandchildren Josh Wade and wife Jennifer, Jonna Parr, Jonathon Wade, Hayden Wade and wife Amber, Whitney Walker and husband Dillon, Candice Darnell and husband Kirk, Lauren Roach and husband Richard, Garrett Betts and wife Michele; 14 great grandchildren; sister SueAnn Ratliff; brother Ray (Sonny) McClery, Jr. ; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Wade, Sr, her parents Rayburn and Emma McClery, Jessie and Reba Deckard and grandson Jonathon Parr, late husband to Jonna.

Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church of Quanah in lieu of flowers.
