Mike Gamble passed away Friday afternoon, April 5th, 2024 at his home in Quanah. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 9th at First Baptist Church with Rev. David Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 8th at Smith Funeral Home.

Sim Michael Gamble was born January 17, 1947 in Vernon, Texas to Sim V. Gamble and Bonnie Ruth Tarver Gamble. He attended schools in Thalia and Crowell, and later graduated from Texas Tech University. He and Darlene were married June 8, 1995 in Abilene, Texas and made Quanah their home. He was an avid golfer and member of the First Baptist Church of Quanah. Mike was a former branch manager for First Federal Savings & Loan and President of Security National Bank for 16 years.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Gamble of Quanah; sister, Dorothy Wright of Amarillo; grandchildren, Justin and Cali Quisenberry, Haley and Colby George, Jakelyn Quisenberry; 3 great grandchildren, Josie Quisenberry, Sam George, Bonnie George; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Frost Long.
