Dr. Walter M. Conley, 69, of Quanah, passed away Tuesday morning, December 8, 2020.  A graveside service is planned for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Quanah Memorial Park, under direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Walter was born April 19, 1951, in Quanah, to James Radford and Marian Meacham Conley. He graduated from Quanah High School in 1969. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University before graduating from veterinary school at Texas A&M University on August 9, 1974. He married Billie Ann Hamilton on August 17, 1974 in Dallas, Texas, and had been a resident of Quanah since 1975. Walter loved to fish, hunt, ski, and eat.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Conley of the home; 2 sons, Dr. Robert Conley, and wife Lindsey, of Vernon, and Jeffrey Conley, and wife Shannon, of Quanah; 1 brother, James Robert Conley, and wife Debbie, of Quanah; and 3 grandchildren, Wyatt, Avery, and Landry.
