Wesley Doyle Muncrief, 79, passed away Wednesday, July 14 ^th in Lubbock. A funeral service is planned for 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 21 ^st at First Christian Church with Rev. Wayne Hollinshead officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 20 ^th at Smith Funeral Home.

Doyle was born January 20, 1942 in Johnston County, Oklahoma to Luther James and Ruby A. Whitmire Muncrief. He worked for many years as a self-employed painting contractor, and was an avid fisherman.

Doyle is survived by his son, Wayne Muncrief of Lubbock; 2 brothers, R.L. Muncrief of Childress and Russell Muncrief of Quanah; 1 sister, Sylvia Muncrief of Quanah; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debroh Sue Muncrief Middleton.
