William Clark "Dub" Rogers, Jr., of Quanah, died Friday morning, August 4, 2017, in Vernon, Texas. He was 90 years old.
William Clark Rogers, Jr., was born on August 11, 1926, to William Clark and Vernie (Barker) Rogers. He married Lorene Lambert on August 21, 1949, in Childress, Texas. He retired from West Texas Utilities-Lake Pauline Power Plant, and was a farmer and rancher.
Dub was preceded by 2 brothers and 1 sister; a son, Bruce Rogers, in 1968; a grand-daughter, Amy, in 1972; and his wife, Lorene, in 2004.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 7, 2017, at the Church of Christ in Quanah. Albert Motsenbocker will officiate. Burial will follow at Big Valley Cemetery in Medicine Mound, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Quanah.
He is survived by 2 sons – William Clark Rogers, III, (Cheryl) and Gary Rogers (Jacque), both of Quanah; 1 daughter – Gay Smith (Billy), of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
