William Clark Rogers, III, 69, of Quanah, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service is planned for 11:00 am, Monday, August 17 th at the First Baptist Church. Rev. Wayne Hollinshead and Dr. David Smith will officiate. A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Sunday evening at the funeral home.
William Clark Rogers was born on September 15, 1950, in Quanah, to William Clark Rogers, Jr. and Lorene (Lambert) Rogers. He graduated from Quanah High School in 1970, and attended Vernon College, where he studied law enforcement. He went on to study welding in Kansas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1971-74, working with battery missiles, and was stationed in Germany, Florida, Louisiana, and Virginia. He was employed as a welder for the Santa Fe Railroad, and BNSF, for 36 years.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Morton Rogers, of the home; 2 sons, Jim Rogers, of Vernon, and William Clark Rogers, IV, of Quanah; 4 daughters, Jan Rogers of The Colony, Texas, Kim Myers of Wichita Falls, Pam Wilson of Wichita Falls, and Lori Cornell of Quanah; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Elizabeth Rogers, in 1972.
The family suggests memorials be made to UT Southwestern Medical Center, Transplant Services at
