Obituary

Wyatt Dalton Welch, 25, of Quanah, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Hardeman County Memorial Hospital. Services are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Quanah with Rev. Monte Lumpkin officiating.  Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 22, 6-7 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.

He was born May 11, 1999 in Vernon, Texas to Carrie Wiseman. Wyatt was disabled. He suffered from MS and other health issues. He attended schools in Quanah but dropped out before graduation. He was a member of QHS Class of 2017. He enjoyed playing video games and listening to his favorite music by Adrian von Ziegler. His favorite movies were "Klaus" and "Scrooge." He enjoyed spending time with his cat, Dragon; his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his papa, Lethal Wiseman, Sr.; granny, Jolene Welch; Pa, Leroy Robinson; grandpa, Billy Edwards, Sr.; Uncle DeDe, Lethal Wiseman, Jr.; and great-grandparents, William Richard "Bill" Ritchie, and Madison and Corene Wiseman.

Survivors include his mom and dad, Carrie Wiseman and Billie Dean Goodridge of Quanah; three sisters, Aolani Wiseman and Sara Goodridge, both of Quanah, Brooklyn Pittman of Lubbock; one brother, Shannon Goodridge of Quanah; mawmaw, Caroline Edwards, memaw, Laverne Hegwood, and great grandma, Joyce Ritchie, all of Quanah; two aunts, Patricia Cree and Tina Doffendohol, both  of Quanah; three uncles, Jamie Parks of Moore Ok, Charles Goodridge, Jr. of Nocona and Chip Edwards of Bowie;  two nephews, Aiden Bacca of Quanah and Ryver Pittman of Lubbock; two nieces, Azariwah and Raelie Davis, both of Lubbock; estranged relatives, Billy Welch, Jerry Welch, Debra Hackney, Samatha Welch and Taylor Welch. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

At this young age he did not have life insurance. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Smith Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. Please contact Becky Parker, Smith Funeral Home 940-663-6164 in Quanah M-F, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
